Greart fun @ HEURIGER in Bangkok - Swissotel  Ratchada

On Saturday, 28 May the Thai-Austrian Society had their biggest annual event – the “Heuriger”. More than 220 Austrians and friends of Austria celebrated in a cozy atmosphere at the Swissotel Bangkok Ratchada with traditional and delicious Austrian food and drinks.

Moreover, during the event we could raise 165.000 THB for Baan Doi, the child care center in Chiang Rai. So again, on behalf of the board of the Thai Austrian Society a big thank you to all of you and we hope that you enjoyed the evening.

Over 100 guests @Christmas Brunch at Le Meridian

On Sunday, 27 November the Thai Austrian Society organized the Christmas brunch at the Le Meridien Hotel Bangkok. 100 guests enjoyed the delicious food as well as the mulled wine. As usual, these events serve the purpose of supporting children in need. At this event, the special guest was Mae Chee Brigitte Schrottenbacher, a Buddhist nun who lives in Thailand over 30 years. She supports several charity projects  in Thailand and Bhutan. She also brought along several paintings which could be bought by the guests. All the donations from this event will support children in need. And of course, especially the kids were waiting for it to happen: Nikolaus (Santa Claus) made an appearance and handed out small gift bags! Thank you to everyone for coming, pictures of the event can be viewed here:

1st Frühshoppen - lots of fun in Bangkok

On Saturday, 29th of January, the Thai-Austrian Society had its first Fruehshoppen which is a unique Austrian style brunch. More than 50 people joined the event at the Swissôtel Bangkok Ratchada and once again thank you to everyone who contributed so that we were able to raise 15.000 THB for Baan Doi, a child care center run by an Austrian near Chiang Rai. Let's hope that the covid-19 situation improves and restrictions are eased so that regular events can happen again.

“HAPPY FAMILY CAMP 2019”
Heart through heart agenda
October 12-14 2019 at Banyan Leaf Resort, Rachaburi

„We stand together with the poor“

We work to help the children and communities of the many slums of Bangkok. Together with our neighbors in the slums we create simple-but-progressive solutions that touch the lives of thousands of the poor every day.

We build and operate schools, improve family health and welfare, protect street children’s rights, combat the AIDS crisis, respond to daily emergencies, and offer shelter to orphans, to street children, and to children and adults with AIDS – always together, hand in hand and heart to heart with the people we serve.

TAS - Einladung zum Mittagessen an der Phetchaburi Panyanukul  School for the Intellectual Disabilities and Slow Learners

Thai-Austria Society elects new board

February 11, 2016

Gottfried Auer of Chiang Mai was elected the ninth president of the Thai-Austrian Society at the 30-year-old organization’s annual general meeting in Bangkok.

Austrian Ambassador H.E. Enno Drofenik hosted the Jan. 25 meeting at his residence with 50 of 80 club members attending.

After a short welcome speech from the ambassador, outgoing President Vicky Thananan reviewed the history of the group, which was founded by former ambassador, Rudolf Bogner, and had eight presidents to date.
