On Sunday, 13 December the Thai-Austrian Society had their festive pre Christmas brunch at the Swissotel. About 45 people attended not only for thedelicious food, Austrian specialities,

Glühwein (mulled wine) and bubbles but also to support this year’s project, the Baan Doi child care center in the north of Thailand. Even Nikolaus found his way to hot Thailand and handed out some gifts for the children. We are more than grateful to announce that the TAS with all its members and friends can donate 159.000 THB for  Baan Doi. The cheque will be handed over in January at the Stammtisch in Chiang Mai. THANK YOU again to all of you who supported the Baan Doi!

„We stand together with the poor“

We work to help the children and communities of the many slums of Bangkok. Together with our neighbors in the slums we create simple-but-progressive solutions that touch the lives of thousands of the poor every day.

We build and operate schools, improve family health and welfare, protect street children’s rights, combat the AIDS crisis, respond to daily emergencies, and offer shelter to orphans, to street children, and to children and adults with AIDS – always together, hand in hand and heart to heart with the people we serve.

The Thai Austrian Society is honored  to contribute to the HDF Mercy Centre

On 5 September 2019, members of the board of the Thai Austrian Society met with Father Joe Maier at HDF Mercy Centre for handing over the cheque. We raised THB 158.000 at the Heuriger for the children of the Mercy Centre. Father Joe founded the Mercy Centre in 1972 and since then, has supported over 40.000 children from poor families and helped them to be educated at the preschools of Mercy Centre. With the money raised, we contribute to a three day family camp which will be held in October. Thank you to all our sponsors and donors again for your support!

 3rd annual HEURIGER in Bangkok

On 7 June 2019, the annual Heuriger was held at the Swissôtel Bangkok Ratchada for the third time. All the guests enjoyed amazing Austrian food and wines.

The guests were entertained with great music by the Tiroler Festtagsmusikanten. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the charity. Donations this year will go to underprivileged children at the HDF Mercy Centre.

Our trip to Swarovski Thailand (Marigot) on 30 May 2019 was very successful !!

We got a wonderful and very interesting introduction about the company and jewelry making and could then see the production of various sparkling bracelets, earrings and much more. Thank you so much to the whole Swarovski Team who made our visit possible!

1st  Heuriger in Chiang Mai

For the first time, the TAS organized a „Heuriger“ evening in Chiang Mai!
Over 160 guests enjoyed Austrian & Thai food, Austrian music from the
Tiroler Bürgermeisterkapelle and Austrian wines. Throughout the evening, we collected money for children at the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Abuse Center (ATCC) in Pattaya which provides assistance to victimized children of sexual abuse and victims of any form of exploitation.
Thank you to all our members and friends who joined this wonderful evening at the Imperial Mae Ping Hotel in Chiang Mai
